People & Alerts
Email covers everything: a selection round starting, their turn, a
warning 4 hours before it runs out, a missed turn, and the final results.
Texts are the urgent ones only — round started, their turn, a last call
15 minutes before it expires, and a link when the results are up. Outgoing messages say
“selection round” rather than “lottery”, because carriers treat
lottery wording as prohibited content. Each person can have either, both or neither; the
test buttons send a sample straight away.
Best to let people add their own number at
the signup page — that's the opt-in the carriers
want to see, and it records their consent. Typing one in here still works, but only ever
with that person's say-so. They can stop the texts any time by replying
STOP, which also unticks them here. Message and data rates may apply —
see the SMS terms and the
privacy policy.
Categories
Define the categories available when adding or editing an item. Renaming or removing a
category here doesn't change items already labeled with it.
Lot Names
Name the lots that items can be grouped into for a lottery, and set each lot's
turn timer (how long each person has to pick). Renaming or removing a lot
here doesn't change items already assigned to it.
